An Ode to Hans Zimmer: Composer for Christopher Nolan’s Inception

For those of you who watched Inception recently, I’m sure you were amazed. The movie kicked ass- everything about it, including the score. I noticed that the score in Inception had a similar feel to Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. That’s because both scores were composed by famous composer Hans Zimmer. Zimmer has composed many major films, including-Gladiator, Batman Begins, The Lion King, and Pirates of the Carribean, among others.

So far Zimmer has won eight Oscars for movies such as Rain Man, As Good As It Gets, Sherlock Holmes, and Gladiator. He has also won seven Grammys.

His score for Inception was brilliant, allowing the audience to be captured by every scene. Go watch the movie if you haven’t seen it already. Take a listen to the track entitled “Time.” Download the album on iTunes.
